Professional Experience
Randy is a Senior Vice President at Allgeier, Martin and Associates, Inc., and has been with the company since 1999. He has provided engineering solutions in the utility industry since 1983. He currently serves as the substation manager, overseeing eight engineers, seven technician/designers, the drafting supervisor, a quality control technician, and two project representatives. He provides engineering, planning, and design for electric power systems, project management, equipment and material specification, project engineering, construction estimating, and contract administration for electric utility clients. He also has experience in relay protection and control, SCADA, and line design.
Recent projects completed include 345 kV, 161 kV, 69 kV, and distribution level substation facilities. These projects required engineering for the installation of transformers, breakers, switches, instrument transformers, control buildings, and the associated infrastructure for substation installations. These projects also included completely new construction, additions, and upgrades to existing substations.
Our team routinely works for G&Ts, IOUs, Cooperatives, and municipalities. Every electrical and civil portion of these projects have been performed either directly by Randy or by his supervisory direction utilizing our fully integrated team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
